Tap2Open – Smartphone Access for Gated Communities & Secured Doors

SmartGuard

Cloud-Based Guard Software for Modern Gated Communities

Say Goodbye to Outdated PC-Based Gate Systems

Is your community still running guard software from the early 2000s? Old systems crash, require constant IT support, and leave guards struggling with slow, clunky interfaces while visitors wait in long lines.

SmartGuard is a complete cloud-based entry guard system built for today’s gated communities. It runs on any device with a web browser, including smartphones, tablets, and PCs. No software installation. No IT headaches. Just fast, reliable visitor processing that keeps your gates moving.

Residents Send Invitations in Seconds

Your residents can invite guests from anywhere using their phone, tablet, or computer. Invitations go out instantly via text or email, and each one includes time restrictions so guests can only access the community when they’re supposed to. No more calling the guard station to leave instructions. No more hoping the message gets passed along correctly.

Guests receive clear entry instructions and can even get turn-by-turn directions to the gate. The whole process takes seconds, and residents stay in control of who enters and when.

Three Ways to Process Visitors

Every community has different security needs. SmartGuard gives you the flexibility to choose the entry method that works best for your residents and guards.

Traditional Guard Check-In: Guests check in with the guard every time. Guards can provide QR codes or PIN codes for faster processing. This option works well for communities that want maximum oversight at the gate.

Self-Entry for Invited Guests: Guests with invitations skip the guard line completely and let themselves in through the resident lane. This is the fastest option and practically eliminates wait times at the gate. This is the most convenient method for guests to get through the gates quickly. Never will they need to wait in line at your gate.

Guard Clearance Then Self-Entry: New guests check in with the guard for the first few visits. Guards can scan driver’s license information during this time. After that, returning guests can let themselves in with their invitation. Your community captures visitor data while repeat guests enjoy a faster experience.
